The Work

What I do, how long it takes, and what you're actually walking away with.

What do you actually do?
Brand identity. Visual systems. Web design. Strategy that connects what you're building to how people see it. I don't make things pretty — I make them mean something.
How long does a project take?
Brand identity: 4–6 weeks. Website: 6–10 weeks depending on scope. Rush timelines exist — they cost more. Good work takes time, or it takes money. One of the two.
What's included in a branding project?
Logo system. Color palette. Typography. Brand standards you can actually hand someone and use. Everything is scoped before anything starts — no surprise add-ons halfway through.
Can I just get a logo?
No. A logo without a system behind it is clip art with a font. I build brands — the logo is one piece, not the whole thing. One without the other doesn't get you where you're trying to go.
What if I just need a website?
We can do that. But strategy comes first. A beautiful site with nothing to say is an expensive placeholder — and I'm not in that business.
How many revisions do I get?
Enough to get it right. Not enough to chase a moving target. Revisions are for refining — not restarting because the vibe shifted after we already locked strategy. That's why we do the work upfront.
What if I don't like what you come up with?
We talk. And I'll push back if I think you're moving away from something that's working — that's the job. You hired a creative director, not a vending machine. The best work happens when we both show up.
Do you work with clients outside Rhode Island?
Yes. Everything runs through calls and shared files. Location doesn't change the quality of the work — just the time zone we schedule calls around.

The Money

Pricing, payment terms, and why the number isn't moving.

How much does it cost?
Brand identity starts at $3,500. Websites start at $4,500. If you're looking for $500 work, this isn't the spot — and honestly, you don't want what that gets you.
Why are you so expensive?
You're not paying for hours. You're paying for 10+ years of knowing what works before we start. The designer charging $300 is learning on your business. I already know how it ends.
How does payment work?
50% upfront. 50% before final files ship. Work doesn't start without a deposit. Files don't leave without a cleared balance. No exceptions — that's how we both stay protected.
Do you do payment plans?
Sometimes — for the right project and the right client. Be upfront about it from the start. I'd rather have that conversation early than have it blow up mid-project. Just ask.
What if I can't afford you yet?
Wait. Save. Do it right. A brand built on the cheap becomes a brand you're rebuilding in two years. I'll still be here when you're ready.
Do you do spec work or free concepts?
No. That's what the portfolio is for. If you need to see what I can do, look at the work. I'm not auditioning for the job on your dime — or mine.

The Real Talk

Hard truths about design, AI, cheap work, and why any of this matters.

Can't I just use AI to design my brand?
You can. And your brand will look exactly like everyone else who used AI and called it done. I use AI too — it's a powerful tool. But it can't replace strategy, and strategy is the whole game.
My nephew does design. Can he do it cheaper?
Yes. You'll probably pay him once and me twice. Not because he's bad — because there's a difference between someone who knows the software and someone who knows why it isn't working.
Why not a bigger agency?
With me, you get me. Not a junior with my name on it. Not a project manager playing telephone between you and whoever's on your file. I'm on every decision, every deliverable. That accountability is rare — and worth something.
Does design actually matter that much?
The brand that looks like it has its act together wins the client — before they say a word, before they know your price, before they even call. Design is trust at first glance. It's sales you don't have to do manually. So yeah, it matters.
What kind of clients do you work with?
Founders and business owners with something real to say. People who take their brand seriously and trust the process. If you're looking for someone to execute whatever you came up with on the drive over — I'm probably not the move.
What if I'm not ready to start yet?
Reach out anyway. My calendar books out — and I'd rather know you exist now than have you show up ready and find me slammed for three months. Early conversations cost nothing.
